I’ve been making music CDs using cheap CD-Rs and haven’t noticed any problem. However, I notice that stores sell CD-Rs labelled as for music recording. Is there any difference other than price?

I have a Zenith converter box and a Magnovox DVD recorder. I can record shows just fine when the box is OFF, but this is soon not going to be an option when analog programming is stopped. When the box is on, everything I record is just static!
